Apparently, we Americans don’t understand the definition of insanity. (Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. -- Albert Einstein) For the sixth year in a row Barack Obama is the most admired man in America and Hillary Clinton is the most admired woman.
How could this possibly happen?
Can anyone, anywhere tell me what President Obama or Hillary Clinton have done to earn themselves this display of respect? What have either person accomplished, other than being expertly crafted political beasts, that should earn them a position at the top of these lists?
Hillary Clinton’s big accomplishment for the year? Lying to all of American about the Benghazi terrorist attacks of September 11, 2012. Her most important quote of the year? “What difference does it make?” When being asked about trying to figure out whether the Benghazi attack was a planned terrorist attack or a spontaneous protest.
It makes a big difference, Mrs. Clinton.
How about President Obama? What was his big accomplishment for the year? How about getting Obamacare off the ground and running in stupendous fashion? No, that was an abject failure wasn’t it? How about the IRS scandal? The AP/Fox News/James Rosen scandal? The Fast and Furious Scandal? The NSA Scandals and the escape of Edward Snowden? Wow, he has so many “accomplishments” to choose from. I think we’ll just move on to his best quote of 2013. “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. Period.”
No, Mr. President, not everyone can keep their plan if they like it.
That’s awesome.
So the two most important, memorable and oft-repeated quotes from the two most admired people of 2013 are absurdly revolting.
I guess that fits because the two most admired people are absurdly revolting too.
