NFL's top official: Welker's hit on Talib legal

I find this somewhat ironic, in a way, football is a "sport" where someone runs with a ball and the others try to "tackle" the one with the ball and knock him to the ground. It is a rough sport, played by rough, burly, big, well trained contestants.

In recent years, due to television, how and what you do, are scrutinized, over and over again, why, because they have it on tape, from many angles, and it can be watched in speeds, heretofore unavailable. It can be "reviewed." Not to many years ago this was not available, when the play was over, it was over. Only God can make a tree, but football "officials"  can make decisions, like a judge and jury, that reflect greatly on a career.

I remember, years ago, so in so, knocked so in so, out of the game, hooray, good job, well done. Remember, it is a "violent" game, and decisions are made in a "split second."

Soon, all of our actions may be recorded, and all acts, actions may be evaluated by a judge and your sentence doled out accordingly.

There is a very fine line between a "legal" and an "illegal" hit. If it is an "illegal" hit, does that then lead to a warrant, an arrest, a court battle .... "Judge, it was an "illegal" hit, I am not able to work now, he should be jailed for that tackle, he hit my $250 helmet with his $250 helmet, it's just not fair, Judge." Will there soon me a policeman available to immediately arrest a player for an "illegal" hit, stop the game to write a ticket, they stop the game for commercials, why not stop it for "Illegal Hit Tickets."
