SMI - 1/4/4

When are they going to start keeping statistics on "Crowds on the Sidelines" at football games?I don't think I have ever seen as many people on the sidelines as there were at the Sugar Bowl and many of the other bowl games. Someone will get seriously hurt by a player who can't stop in time, then they may control it. Those TV cameras on platforms are a problem also. Nothing will be done about that, though.

In typical Ohio State tradition, Defensive Coordinator Luke Fickell is blamed for the loss to Clemson. If it wasn't for other players and teams, they would have a perfect record. Head coach Urban Meyer is exonerated. Meyer seems to be amazed and awed by the fact that any other team has the ability to outdo his Buckeye laden helmeted team. I think they are one of the last teams to apply decals to helmets. From the number of decals on some helmets it appears they receive one for each day they they stay out of "trouble." I predict that to get his point across, Luke is gone. Where do the stick the decal when the helmet is full?

Phil Everly, half of pioneer rock duo, dies at 74. 1958, Dayton, Ohio, I took my daughter, Debra, to the Montgomery County Fair, we sat in the stands and watched, the Everly Brothers show. She wanted a better view, got closer and stood my a rail, arms folded, watching them. Wife and I were separated then, last time I saw her for many, many years.
