I almost hit the 3 doing the title, caught myself at the last second, old habits die hard.
Another Saturday, anything new, Joe, well, Marilyn passed out Thursday night, went to get me a glass of milk, I heard a funny noise, ran to the kitchen and there she was laying on the floor. Wanted to call the squad, she said no, I could not get her up, we finally called daughter Melissa, who made it over in record time, Melissa got her on a chair, she started going out again, we called 911, squad came in record time, first one gentleman, he started asking her questions, then two more came, then three more came. They carted her off. Anyway, she spent the night, brought her "gingerly" home yesterday afternoon. She apparently fell on her knees, hard time walking. Cause, low blood pressure, now all they have to do is figure out "why?"
Old age is not what it is cracked up to be. We are nearing the stage where we are having a difficult time taking care of our selves. I guess we have to start looking for our next .... whatever. My dear wife has been through so much, and most of it all leads back to her breast cancer, and her "treatment" which has led to so many other things. It has been one thing right after another. Things look good, and whammy, another problem of some kind. He is affording us a long life, but with a few pitfalls. Regardless of your age, plan for your future .... thought I heard something, just went running back to the bedroom, nothing. Anyway, the future does happen, make the best of yours. Don't be an "Impulsive, Spendthrift with ADD" like I am, or was, or have been.
I have learned the cause of "global warming." Those who study it get massive funding, so the fear of it must be perpetuated to keep that funding coming in. I wonder how many "events" being studied receive similar funding? I will instigate a study on .... "global cooling" or some such thing. I was trying to think of some really clever cause, but it is rainy, dreary, cloudy, damp outside and my brain is not working well, maybe I can study that .........
"I Can Dream, Can't I? - The Andrews Sisters, now playing, that takes me back to the 40's, was one of my favorites. I am sitting in that old living room at 319 South Brown Street ... with the old Philco turned on, or maybe listening on a 78 with the old record player ... I am so thankful I still have so many great memories to look back upon .....
