Maria Elizabeth Tiberi, 21, of Dublin, was driving a Toyota Corolla that crashed into the rear of the semi around 10:45 pm on I-270 southbound at Cemetery Road, according to Hilliard police.
Tiberi was transported to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, where she later died. She was the daughter of WBNS-10TV sports anchor Dom Tiberi.
Police said the tractor trailer appeared to have been stopped in heavy traffic when the collision occurred. The driver of the semi, whose name was not released by police, was not injured.
The southbound lanes of I-270 at Cemetery Road were closed for nearly four hours while police conducted their investigation. All lanes of I-270 were open to traffic by 3:30 a.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
