Whats in a name ......

This is a post from  Reno history group. This was posted by the son of the man in question here.

"A funny story I have to tell on my Dad. In 1947 my Dad was looking for some entertainment for the Bar of Music and a young guy walked in and said to my Dad, he was looking for a spot. He told my Dad he was a singer and Dad asked his name and how much he was asking. The name was Francesco LoVecchio and he wanted $100 a week. My Dad said for a $100 a week I can get "Jackson at the Piano" ( a very big name back then). So it did not happen. LoVecchio changed his name to Frankie Laine and the rest was history."
