On TV, watched high school football games last night. They don't look, nor do they play like high school teams, these were excellent teams. One was ranked number 14 in the country, and they were upset. The dew was cold on the grass this morning, I think everyone should walk barefooted in the grass every morning. Good for the feet and the soul. Bad on the carpet though, bring in a lot of loose grass on my feet.
I still have heard no outcry or outrage at the beating death of the old veteran by two black youths. I have seen insinuations that it was a direct retaliation to the Zimmerman affair. They were only "venting" their feelings, expressing their outrage, my guess is, they just couldn't help themselves. See for yourself, try to find the article, I've looked at Yahoo News, ABC News, nothing, little to nothing. Where are the veterans groups, the Legion and others, IS THERE NO ONE GOING TO COME TO HIS DEFENSE?
Hey, WHITEY, of which I am one, our lives could be in danger, and no one cares or is doing anything about it. The top news story ......
March organizers have planned for about 100,000 people to participate in the event, which is the precursor to the actual anniversary of the Aug. 28, 1963, march. It will be led by the Rev. Al Sharpton and King's son Martin Luther King III. After several speeches, participants will walk the half-mile from the Lincoln Memorial to the 2-year-old memorial.
On the day of the anniversary, President Barack Obama will speak from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, the same place King stood when he delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech. Obama will be joined by former Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter. Churches and groups have been asked to ring bells at 3 p.m. Wednesday, marking the exact time King spoke.
Maybe they will pray for Delbert Belton, and honor his memory as a Veteran of WWII, and to forgive those two black youths who beat him to death. They weren't themselves, they were overwrought, because of the senseless death of Trayvon Martin. "They no not what they do." I wonder if any part of Dr. King's "Dream" consisted of executing white men.
