It ain't workin, George ..........

Where are we as a country? Do we resemble anything like George and the boys envisioned. As I recall we had a certain amount of redundancy built into the system. It was set up so that no one could take control, The first three Articles of the Constitution embody the doctrine of the separation of powers. whereby the federal government is divided into three branches: the legislature, consisting of the Congress; the executive, consisting of the President; and the judiciary, consisting of the Supreme Court.. Have the three forgotten their purpose and has the system failed?

I have heard historians state that George Washington could have become a dictator or similar despot, but then, the Constitution was written, and this could no longer happen, I wonder if it has. Somewhere there is a flaw in the system, someone is not watching.

A simple vacation taken by the president. I wonder what it cost. Did he drive in the family sedan? Did he pack Mom and the kids in the Ford and head to the Cape. No, he flew, in a gigantic jet, with accompanying planes for the dog. Is anyone aware of the cost of that, is there anyone whose responsibility it is to say, "We have no money, that is costing too much." I'm sure someone has the responsibility to do that, but no one is.

When did the system start failing us? FDR, I don't think so, and not HST, I think that after WWII, everything changed, so since 1945, there has been abuse. We won, we are the greatest, we have to show the world how great we are, spend, spend, spend, spend ....................... BIG BROTHER has no one to answer to, he can do what he wants, and there is no recourse for the people .... "When in danger, or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout" ........ we do that, scream and shout, but do nothing about the danger.Great idea, George, but there are apparently some flaws, somewhere ....................
