Not sure of the date of this, I remember reading about it in '43.

This happened somewhere near Okinawa.

Harley "Flash" Grossman was the photographer.

After submitting this photograph to Eleventh Naval District Commander Roland Baker

Harley was transferred to the Psychiatric Ward of Balboa Hospital

in San Diego, California

He was released in 1946 and became a powerful voice in

California politics and many of his innovative suggestions and plans

can be attributed to the condition of the state, to this day.
