CLEVELAND BROWNS
BEREA, Ohio --
That is all it took for the Cleveland Browns’ fans to sell out the single-game tickets for the team’s home opener against the Miami Dolphins at FirstEnergy Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 8. The game against Miami will mark the 14th time in the last 15 seasons that the Browns will open the regular season at home.
“It’s a great feeling,” said Browns president Alec Scheiner. “I think it says just so much about our fans that it sold out so quickly. Pittsburgh, later in the day, sold out of single-game tickets. We’ve still got single-game tickets available for the other games. Some are getting tighter than others, and we still have some season tickets left to sell.”
Later in the day, the Browns’ home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Nov. 24, also sold out of single-game tickets.
“I love these rivalries,” Scheiner said. “I grew up with these rivalries in a different division, and there’s nothing that I respect more than a rivalry like this. I’m excited for our first game against Pittsburgh.”
