A prank in the Boca Raton, Florida neighborhood of Loggers’ Run resulted in huge car-sized chunks of bubbles floating out to nearby Palmetto Park Road.
As reported by WPTV Newschannel 5, someone emptied several bottles of dish soap into the neighborhood waterfall and a gigantic foamy mess ensued. No accidents were reported but witnesses said that drivers had to swerve and slow down to avoid the bubbles.
Joyce Seays was on her way to work and said, "I thought maybe it was like fake ice or something. But when I got closer, I saw that it was kind of moving and I was like, 'nope, it's soap suds.'" She added, "If it would have gone in front of me, covering my windshield, I would have panicked." But the bubbly road was not the only issue, the clean up will also be a costly one estimated at several hundred dollars.
Loggers’ Run management will need to drain and scrub the waterfall to repair any damage that occurred. The community’s Homeowners Association did not want to speak on camera but sent WPTV a report which confirmed they recognized the potential liability involved and they called the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office to redirect traffic.
Crews will assess the pranks damages and from there, the Loggers’ Run management will decide whether to file a criminal report.
