Elena’s Selected as an All Star Starter

Hey everyone!

First I just want to say thank you to all of the fans that voted for me to play in the 2013 WBNA All Star Game.

I really, really appreciate your support and am truly humbled by the voting results. When I found out about the vote total I was speechless. I’m so happy to get this opportunity in my rookie season. I want to make the fans that voted for me proud that they did.

I can’t express enough just how excited I am for All Star Weekend. It has always been a dream of mine to play in the WNBA All Star game and in just about a week this dream will come true! I think that it is an amazing opportunity to be on the floor playing with and against the best of the best in the WNBA. There is an incredible amount of talent in this league and the All Star Game is a perfect showcase of this talent! I’m looking forward to taking in the energy of the moment and am really glad that Epiphanny Prince will be starting with me. Her being there will be a comfort.

I’m really excited to head to the Mohegan Sun Arena for my first every WNBA All Star Game. I’m looking forward to a weekend of fun events and good basketball. Hope to see some of you there!
Until next time,

Elena
