Hunter Mahan leaves PGA Tour event he was winning to attend birth of baby girl

Nice story, some things are just too important to miss ..... priorities!!!!! Let's just name him "Father of the Year"

Hunter Mahan was in prime position to capture his first PGA Tour victory of the year this weekend.

A stellar second-round 64 vaulted him into the lead, and conditions at Glen Abbey in Ontario were prime for scoring today.

There was just one problem: His wife Kandi went into labor. The couple had been expecting a baby girl for some time, and Mahan knew he might have to withdraw from a tournament when the time came

(Kandi’s expected due date was after August’s PGA Championship). He only hit a few balls on the practice range before his agent received a call from Kandi. Hunter immediately withdrew from the tournament and headed to the airport.
