Nothing better ...............

Yesterday afternoon, for a little while, I experienced one of the great experiences of my life. I have done a lot in my lifetime, seen a lot, met and seen many "people" done some awesome things, but yesterday, for about ten minutes or so, I held and fed, "Miss Emma." She generally doesn't like being away from her Mother, but for some reason, I think that "He" knows, I was permitted to hold her in my arm, occasionally, when SHE wanted to, held the bottle for her, and from time to time, let her take a toy or two that I was holding.

I don't know what all happened in the world yesterday, I can see what made the news, which was not much. I imagine that a number of "major" decisions were made yesterday in a variety of venues, but of the millions of people in this world, only I, got to hold Miss Emma for that time period till she got, "fussy".

I took her away from my wife, sat down in my chair, got her comfortable in the cradle of my left arm, and then, an event like no other, Miss Emma looked up at me, and in that instant ..... there is no explanation, no way to convey what went on between us, it was just one of "those" moments, never forgotten.

Miss Emma is my Great Granddaughter. What's it all about, just that, and I got to visit with Miss Brooklyn, Emma's sister, who also has me wrapped around her finger.

I thank Him every day for keeping me on this earth to enjoy these pleasures
