One Night Stands during the 40's

Broadcast back in the 40's. One Night Stand

One Night Stand was a program of live music ("remotes") that was produced & broadcast by the U.S. government via the Armed Forces Radio Service (AFRS) radio network.

It featured the popular bands of the day and some lesser-known groups. Some of the vocalists: Meredith Blake, Liz Tilton, Anita O'Day, Helen Ward, Eugenie Baird, Bob Anthony, Thelma Carpenter, Jimmy Rushing, Earle Warren, Dinah Washington, Kitty Kallen, Rosetta Williams, Doris Day, Kay Starr, et al.

This one is Carl Ravazza who I have seen numerous times in Reno on the 7th Floor of Harold's Club. He was a "Matinee Idol," band leader and singer. His appearances at Harolds Club were some of my most memorable in Nevada.  CARL RAVAZZA ON ONE NIGHT STAND
