Mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner lost it during a campaign stop at a Borough Park bakery Wednesday when a man insulted him, and at first it appeared to be a classic campaign meltdown.
But then, video released by Weiner`s campaign released video revealing what the heckler, a man identified by The Observer as Saul Kessler, actually said before the confrontation.
As Weiner walked away from the bakery line, Kessler, who was near the counter, yelled, "You`re a real scumbag, Anthony . . . married to an Arab."
As I have said in the past, in politics, there is no such this as "bad press." The "scumbag" comment is certainly true, the Arab, well, she was born in Michigan, but lived abroad and with a name like Huma Abedin, well, draw your own conclusions. My guess is that he and old Saul are good friends and they cooked up the whole thing. The bakery probably gave them free bagels for the publicity. Anthony who? .... Scumbags everywhere are upset at the association .........
