Sunny in Ahia this morning, took Caleb for a little walk in the yard, barefooted, my feet still ache a little, it is getting colder.
What goes around comes around. A TV ad yesterday, Rick, the buy on the Vegas Pawn show is now selling ..... you ready for this ......... razors, with ONE blade. I have one back in the bathroom, bought it 50 years ago. His theory, the reason for 1, 2, 3, 4 blade razors, they can sell them for more money, and the refills cost even more. He is sell the old "twist" type, turn the bottom portion of the razor and it opens up. By keeping mine in olive oil I have gotten three months usage out of my last one, and got it free in the mail. Gillette Blue Blades may be making a comeback.
Syria ... what have we learned? When the "going" gets tough .... well ..... "When in danger or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout." I remember a football game, years ago, the starting quarterback got hurt, his backup got hurt, the opponent scored, but we were only down by three points. Coach had to put the only quarterback left on the bench into the game for the last series of downs. "Run the ball three times and then punt." He followed his coaches orders, three nice gains, but they punted from ..... the one.
One thing we have learned though, we are leaderless in this country, we are a ship without a rudder. If a gigantic spaceship appeared in the sky, and it ascended slowly and quietly to earth, in Washington, and a large door, slowly opened, and a little green person emerged, and made his way, down a long narrow stairway, He stopped and looked around, his eyes seemed to take in the various memorials around the city. He then raised his head, and in a firm voice said, "I want to talk with your leader, where, is your leader?"
Obama looked at Biden, Biden looked at Boehner, Boehner looked at Pelosi, Pelosi looked at .... etc., etc., etc.
Floods in Colorado, fires in New Jersey, fires in California, commercials on TV, terrorists, everywhere, and the main concern in our country, Texas A&M playing Alabama in football. Don't worry, world, we have our priorities in order. For example, right now, four well-dressed men, wearing neckties, sitting at a gigantic desk, discussing "world problems," for three hours, hopefully they will have answers. I will tune up the volume ..... there .... what are they discussing, Syria, nerve gas, terrorists .... OH! ... sorry, they are talking about .................. football.
