ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) Elena Delle Donne made a 10-foot jump shot as time expired to give the Chicago Sky a 70-68 victory over the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday night. Delle Donne's shot capped a Sky rally from a nine-point, fourth-quarter deficit for their second consecutive victory.
Epiphanny Prince scored 21 points to pace Chicago (23-9). Delle Donne had 18 while Sylvia Fowles added 13 points and 12 rebounds. The Phoenix (18-14) had a four-game winning streak snapped despite 15 points from Candice Dupree and 12 apiece from DeWanna Bonner and Briana Gilbreath.
Prince tied the game at 66 with a driving layup with 2:11 left in regulation and gave Chicago a 67-66 lead with a free throw with 33 seconds showing. Courtney Vandersloot hit another with 14 seconds remaining for a 68-66 advantage.
Jasmine James then ended the Mercury's stretch of nine straight misses with a jumper to force a 68-all deadlock with 5.8 seconds left in regulation.
Chicago hosts Atlanta on Friday and closes the regular season on Saturday at Western Conference-leading Minnesota. Phoenix entertains San Antonio on Friday and is at Los Angeles on Sunday.
