Monday morning, 8/5. First I want to say hello to who or whomever I am sharing this computer with. I got on around 8, everything was working fine, till around 9, and then THEY take over my computer, and it has a mind of its own. I am not paranoid, same scenario every morning around 9, they check out my computer. I think it became more noticeable when I changed my message on the answering machine:
"Hello, we are unable to take your call right now, please leave your name and number, or if you prefer, contact the White House in Washington, D C, they have all of our pertinent information on file there. Thank You"
THEY seem to be keeping our "pertinent" information up to date. I thank THEM for that. I think of Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts in that flick with where he was an ex CIA or something, everyone thought he was crazy with his accusations of government and intrigue, no one would listen, till they learned the truth.
Woke up with another "incident" on my mind that happened many years ago. I remember little of the incident, the who, when and why are gone. I had an occasion years ago, because everyone involved was busy, to be the first greeter of an exchange student. She was from South America, somewhere, spoke some English, so language was not a big problem. The think I remember, it was determined that she was hungry, so she and I got in my car, not sure why, but we ended up at McDonalds. The remarkable part of the story, she had never eaten a "Big Mack" or been to a McDonalds. I had the pleasure of buying and watching someone eat their first Big Mack. Until then, I thought everyone had eaten at McDonalds, not her.
In that vein, I always thought it would be neat to take some refugee child from some poor underprivileged country, just off the plane, and watch the expression on their face when they entered a super market, perhaps a Walmart, the expression would be priceless.
Monday morning always feels different than any other day of the week. A whole new week ahead, five new days, Saturday is a FREE day, and Sunday has a feeling all of its own.
Thank YOU for giving me another week .......................
