More than we need to know????

Why do THEY feel we need to know so much news. Watching noon news from Columbus, Ohio. Every day they start with "Late Breaking News." Not one day goes by where there is NO late breaking news.

Today, two children burned, playing with fire. Did we really need to know that? There are times that they really have to "dig" to come up with a story, and then there are some stories that they never give up on.

When and who decided we needed to know so much? Local news seems to thrive on automobile wrecks, they love vehicles that drive in to things. A car, halfway in a house, an airplane crashes into a house. Why do they think I am really interested in that.

Many years ago, in my youth, we listened to Peter Grant at WLW, Cincinnati, Ohio. and, if memory serves me, he related news, important news, but, I was young. I know he did the news in a few minutes, not hours.

Now, we have some 24 hours news channels, news at 4, 5, 6 and 7.

And now it depends upon your politics which channel you watch.

For me, just too much news.
