Come on, people, NSA or whomever, get off my computer and let me use it a little ..... now 9:20 and you guys have been checking it since around 8:10 .... it worked fine till then, didn't your Momma teach you to share? I am feeling more like Mel Gibson everyday ... in .... "Conspiracy Theory" it is taking as long as a minute or more for a page to come up ... makes for a long time. Normally, no problem, just in the mornings around this time. I have been on this and the last post for almost 20 minutes. I hope they upgrade to faster equipment, soon.
These Saturday mornings roll around VERY fast. Nice day in Ohio, on my barefoot walk this morning the dew on the grass was not too cold, has been the last few days. Fall is on the way.
Little League World Series is on, love watching it. Has a "No Hitter" yesterday, not easy to do with the "pitch count" rule they have. It was a pitchers duel till the "count" rule took out the Michigan Pitcher, "Swag Daddy" Chad Lorkowski, and Michigan lost the game. The Chula Vista, Calif., team would take advantage of Lorkowski's absence in the next inning. Patrick Archer drove in two runs with a single, and Micah Pietila-Wiggs made it a three-run game with the fourth hit of the inning to ultimately top the Grosse Pointe, Mich., team. Anyway, do yourself a favor, check times, and watch some TRUE sports.
SMI, what is it, you ask, goes back to 1950 at The Citadel, every Saturday morning, an SMI, Saturday Morning Inspection. Spent all of Friday night getting ready for it. I still remember those days every Saturday, along with "Saturday Morning Cartoons" and some really old radio shows that were on Saturday. I also think of Alice Tuttle, in Reno, I think she was a dealer at Harolds Club, but Saturday morning was her "cleaning" day. She was a friend of a friend, and I knew her ex-husband, Jimmy, had worked with him somewhere. Why I remember Alice, I really don't know. She had an Electrolux vacuum cleaner that stored in a big footstool thing in her living room, had never seen one, that may be the reason.
Days have their own "feelings" with me. I am retired, so in a way, all the days are the same, but to me, Saturday has its own set of feelings, a day to work, clean, get things done sort of day. Sunday, laid back day, still try to get "wound up" for the work week ahead. Monday, a whole week to get new things accomplished. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and all the same. Friday, a day to get "over with" so I can have Saturday.
Saturday has been my day to listen to NPR, watch football, clean house, wash the car type of day.
Have a great Saturday ...........
