I am taking this thought from Jim Snedden who has his own blog that I assist him with. This was his thought the other day, and the more I think about it, it should become the motto of every government worker, at any level, any and all politicians, and all customer service reps both here and abroad and all counter people, store clerks and anyone else who meets the public.
It was a line that Freddie Prinze popularized .............. "ees not my job"
Just think how much time would be saved if all politicians and government works wore a badge proclaiming, "ees not my job." The you could just turn around and head home, and not go through all the "rigmarole" that you would have had to go through.
"Hi, my computer doesn't work, can you fix it for me?"
"Ees not my job."
"Oh!"
"Hello, Mr. Mechanic, my car is not running right can you help me?"
"Ees not my job."
"Can you tell me who I can talk to?"
"Ees not my job."
"Oh!"
You get the idea, no one is responsible anymore, and this comment is endless, there is always someone else to pass you on to, and it you do reach the top, they just pass you off to the bottom again, and the cycle starts over ........... it is endless ... that is why we are frustrated and have ulcers .....
