On Fox News on Monday, Dr. Carson called Obamacare a killjoy — and a financial disaster.
“We've had three years now to see what’s in it,” he said, “and the level of enthusiasm has not gone up. In fact, it is going down as people are finding out what’s happening.”
Dr. Carson also had a message for Americans who don't want Obamacare: Get moving and get politicos to repeal it. “People who want Obamacare repealed have to realize they just can't sit around and complain about it,” he said, Newsmax reported. “They have to do something about it. The people are the ultimate bosses in this society, even though the government thinks that it is.”
Voters should ultimately make their views known at the ballot box. And it’s not only patients who are rebelling against the plan, he said. Doctors are, too.
“It’s extremely bad,” Mr. Carson said, speaking about the bureaucracy of the new healthcare plan and the reams of new documentation that’s required as part of its implementation. “I haven’t talked to anybody who’s very happy about this, quite frankly. … They have basically taken a lot of independence away from hospitals, away from physicians, and really have taken the joy out of it.”
As I have said in the past, my Dad, Doctor Dooley predicted almost all of this in the late 50's and up into the 70's, no specific reasons, he could see the handwriting on the wall. He was proud that he had been a Doctor, but was not proud, even then, what medicine had degenerated to. "Many Doctors no longer practice medicine, they practice deceit."
A recent survey by top research firm Deloitte Center for Health Solutions finds that 6 in 10 physicians say in the next 1 to 3 years, many doctors will retire earlier than planned because of the implementation of the Affordable Healthcare for America Act, better known as Obamacare. Doctors are abandoning their profession and their patients because Obamacare means they are losing control of their clinics and compensation.
