Thursday Morning 9/18

Coffee down and working it's magic. Who invented coffee? It had to be an accident of some sort. But, an age old question, did they just boil the beans .... before the coffee grinder was invented.

Gore and Ugh were sitting around the fire in their cave, for amusement they would get reeds from the pond, dry them, and then pick berries from the bush, put them in the reed, and shoot beans at targets on the wall. Ugh got pretty accurate. She would shoot a berry at the North wall of the cave, ricochet it off the West wall of the cave, right in to the gourd of hot water over the fire. Later, they learned to drink the beverage, and then they could stay up all night, shooting ...... berries.

That brings a question to mind. When, and in what, was the first water boiled? For the sake of this article, they boiled water in gourds ... the gourd would get hot and the water would keep it from burning, just leave it at that.

Knock on cave door. "Hi, are you the lady of the cave, and your name is Ugh, well, Ugh I am Burl Burlstrom, and I'm with the Keurig Company and I want to show you our machine that makes coffee ..... from these PODS one cup at a time ... where can I plug this unit in?"

Interesting, just came across this .... According to a survey by the National Coffee Association, nearly 1 in 5 adults drank single-cup-brewed coffee yesterday, making it the second most popular way to brew after the traditional drip methods—and far more popular than espresso machines. Is this little machine "hurting" all the Tim Horton's and other coffee houses around the country. I do see PODS all over stores now. saw a thing yesterday a counter top "table" sort of thing, put your coffee machine on it, and underneath was a drawer for the pods.

One in Five ...... they got popular fast ..........
