A very encouraging and uplifting sign last night, on TV, an ad, for an upcoming TV show, in the Spring. I was warmer just thinking about it, Spring, Spring Training is generally my first signal that warm weather is near. No one can appreciate Spring like someone living in Ohio, and why, because of the cold and snow we endure during the Winter months. And, it is not even Winter yet.
OK, you ask, what was I thinking about .... a few years back, in New Jersey, during the Winter, I had an operation, I had a cyst in my colon, removed, rather serious procedure, altogether. Shortly after I got out, no details, I was sitting on the beach, in Florida. I can still feel the warmth of the sun, from the cold of Winter, to the warmth of the sun, in just a few hours. That scenario is one of my "quiet places." I also have one in Northern Michigan, on Mullett Lake, down from the old train station, in Topinabee, there is a little cove, I can sit there, listen to those little waves as they splash on the shore, my blood pressure goes down, my nerves settle down, and I am transformed, by my "quiet place." Everyone should have one.
I have a tape I fall asleep listening to, at least once a week. I go to my quiet place at the start of that tape. Not hypnotic, but, now, I am asleep shortly after it starts, but it is subliminal, so I guess I hear it all. I had one once, a subliminal tape on improving the memory, I put it up somewhere, and forgot where. Not sure if it did any good or not.
The sun is now out, it looks warm and nice outside. I bought a NatureBright SunTouch Plus Light and Ion Therapy Lamp last year, and turn in on, these dark and dreary days. What does it do, you ask, well:
- System includes 10,000-lux light therapy and negative ion therapy
- Balances your body clock, leaving you feeling rested, refreshed, and nourished all over
- Can alleviate the nagging symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)
- Clinical studies show that ion therapy provides an automatic antidepressant effect within a few days of use
Actually, I thought I was getting a "tanning" lamp, but I basque in the brightness of it on these cloudy days. I just turned it off, the sun is out, don't want to overdo it. I learned my lesson there. I had the lamp on, the sun came out, and the next thing I knew I was running, barefoot, through the snow, with only my Men's Starter Core Compression Pants on, learned my lesson there.
The little "Notification" bell on my computer appeared, I opened it, and the below photo was there, I had posted it earlier. Thanks to whoever put the falling snow in it, cute. Someone does read my blogs .......
