Where will IT end?

A runaway "salary train" is loose in this country, all due to television revenue being "shared" with colleges and universities, and, and, and, their ATHLETIC PROGRAMS. The athletes get an education and room and board, the university, MILLIONS if not BILLIONS. It has gotten out of hand. I think the present "system" will result in its downfall. TV will sometime be accused of "tampering" with game results, results which could lead to more revenue. I predicted the one, mid season, the "best" scenario for the Super Bowl, "brother against brother." I predicted that mid season. Sometimes it is best to think, "What would be best for television?" Often, that works out.  NO insinuations, but this final game in the NCAA will have some of the highest ratings, ever, possibly a "dark horse" in the finals ...... time will tell. Think back, some passes dropped, a fumble here and there, all game changers. An "athlete" is making millions per year, and, well, perhaps if???

The Governor of the State of Ohio makes $144,269 per year.

Incoming Ohio State University President Dr. Michael Drake will earn $1 million a year, according to the terms of his five-year contract. He will receive a base salary of $800,000 a year and $200,000 annually in deferred compensation. He is also eligible for an annual performance bonus of $200,000 a year if he meets performance targets and goals.

The Athletic Director at the Ohio State University could earn $1.5 million, if incentives are received.

Football coach, Urban Meyer, at Ohio State contract guarantees him at least $4 million annually - with a chance to make significantly more through bonuses, youth camps and other compensation. It includes perks common for football coaches at major universities - golf club membership, car stipends, tickets and a suite for home football games, use of private jets for recruiting and personal trips.
