Wednesday Morning - 3/12

9:30AM, took Caleb for a walk, sitting here with the laptop, listening to music from the 40's on the television, and looking out at the weather, which is rainy, overcast, cloudy and getting colder. Mid March, but expecting some snow later on. Gonna have to turn the SAG light on here in a bit, probably along with my second cup of coffee.

I want to thank all who visited my Dad's book site blog, his story is one of achievement and determination. If I didn't know better I would think I was adopted, most, if not all, of his "good" qualities, escaped being handed down to me. My Brother had many of his traits, I got my Mom's apparently. When we decided to have him write his story down, I got him a few big notebooks and pens, and he wrote all of his memories down.

I was not aware of his "companion," his Guardian Angel. I was really taken with those. Four times, at least, they interceded in his life, and perhaps saved him. That is awesome when you think about it. I remember stores of their struggle when in Med school in Cincinnati, not  impressed with them at the time, but in retrospect, they are admirable, to say the least. I first heard of "neck bones" from those stories. In those days they were a penny or so, sometimes free, now go check your meat counter for a price.

I think one, too, that sI was glad he got on paper, was his experience in Chicago, at the YMCA, where he was having to make a decision. Two paths were open to him, one easy, one hard. He was undecided, dropped to his knees ...... his decision was made, to become a Doctor.

When I looked at the "hits" this morning I was pleasantly surprised, many of you checked out the blog, I hope you read his story. I am reading it again ................. waiting for the snow.
