K-K-K-Katie

I am a big fan of hers. My son Brad and I saw her play a few times while she was at Ohio State. She is a fierce competitor, and has quietly gone about becoming one of the greats in the WNBA. I don't think she has ever gotten the accollades she deserves, but, she is a woman, the WNBA, so she is unknown to many, unfortunately. I am not going to try to list her accomplishments here, go to THIS LINK to learn more. The last time I saw her in person was at a 4th of July parade in Columbus, many years ago.

Katherine May "Katie" Smith (born June 4, 1974) is an American professional basketball player in the WNBA.

Her primary position is shooting guard, although she sometimes plays small forward or point guard. She is the all time leading scorer in women's professional basketball, having notched over 7000 points in both her ABL and WNBA career.

In 2011, she was voted in by fans as one of the Top 15 players in WNBA history.
