Garage Sales .... a neighborhood nearby us is having a multiple yard sales. You can tell the "pros" ... they are steamers, head down, generally a cap with a brim because they are in the sun a lot. I noticed one lady plodding from one garage to another. She seemed to have an innate ability to enter the garage, glance around, and know if there was anything for her. Then she would do an about face and head to the next garage.
My guess is that some of them were Ebay sellers looking for the product and the price they needed for it to sell.
There were a few husband and wife teams. One guy hurriedly pulled in to the end of the driveway, got out, checked the items in the driveway, then the garage, and if he didn't see whatever he was looking for, right back to his car and off to the next garage where he performed the same scenario again. A minute, two minutes tops per stop.
I only looked in one, my wife did all the others. It was filled with Father's Day, Birthday and Christmas presents. Four tool sets, waffle makers, bread makers, auto vacs, an electric tire pump, Dr. Scholls foot baths, a neck vibrator, and a Shiatsu thing from Walmart. I hope their kids didn't see what they were selling.
I imagine there were twenty or more homes having sales, just around here. Our newspaper has a list of them, I counted 25, some of which were multiple neighborhood sales, so at least 100 or more, just in Newark, Ohio. They were yard sales, garage sales, a huge barn sale, some moving sales, an estate garage sale, multi-family sales, and an annual church yard sale.
A busy day for the "pros" ..........
Wow, not to change the subject, but a Robin just landed outside my window, not three feet away from me, he or she is looking at me, now looking around, gave me about thirty seconds or so of absolute pleasure just watching. Thank YOU for allowing that to happen ...............
