Yes, I did see Marilyn once ..........

In answer to a question, yes, I did see Marilyn Monroe on a couple of occasions.  Probably in '60 or '61, they were filming some of the Misfits in Reno. I had an apartment a few blocks from downtown Reno and generally walked to work.

One morning, not too far from where I lived, I noticed a crowd forming, and then remembered that they were shooting some scenes around town for the movie, The Misfits. I watched a while as they took a hammer to a new Cadillac, to put a dent in it. I watched it all for a short time, but had to get to work. As I walked by, I looked up at the second floor of a house, and there she was, Marilyn Monroe, leaning out of a window, talking with Thelma Ritter. I got some other glimpses of her around Reno as they were shooting scenes for the movie.

I had a couple of friends who were in the movie, dealers at Harrah's, and got used as extras and were in the movie.
