Diapers, more uses than the obvious ONE ..........

Got a blog from Oklahoma today, The Mad Is On, relating an incident about a Marine who mistakenly received a "Care" Package that had a Tampon in it. Later on, the Tampon was used to safe the life of a wounded Marine.

We were doing a demo at a grand opening of a Walmart and one of the samples we handed out were individually wrapped diapers. We had an abundance of them, four cases, and there just weren't that many young parents to hand them out to. A couple saw what we were doing, approached us, and asked if they could have a few of the diaper samples.

They stated that many years before, they were just married and on a short trip to the grandparents with their little daughter,  when they came upon a car wreck, they were one of the first on the scene. They said a man in the car was bleeding badly, they needed something, and his wife ran to their car and brought the first thing in site, the diaper bag. She tore open the diaper and placed the diaper over the open wound and it soon stopped bleeding. When the squad came, they say that quick thinking may have saved a life.

They said they always keep some diapers in their car, for emergency spills, or whatever.

From then on, as customers approached, I related how handy they were in the car for "emergencies," and we ultimately gave them all away.

I keep some in each car, to this day. Clean and absorbent, can't beat that.
