I found this on Facebook, have often wondered the same thing. There is a BIG push on TV and in the media, "animal abuse" ... and I agree wholeheartedly with them. When a picture comes u[ on the TV of an abused or abandoned animal, I generally turn it off. A people, homeless or otherwise, in any state, does not affect me that way. Stephanie said it well .....
I wonder who you guys call when you see a homeless person out in the freezing cold or scorching heat? I love animals, dogs more specifically but I am befuddled how HUMANS go up in arms about an animal being out in the cold but can't provide that same courtesy to another HUMAN being. STFU hypocrites!!!!!
Update 01/07/14: My phone has been blowing up with notifications. The same repetitive comments calling me an idiot, stating animals have no choice unlike humans, and or wishing death upon me. Figured I'd leave my comment here hoping it'd be read by you before you decide to leave a similar comment. Reading comprehension people.
Why do you keep commenting dogs have no choice? When did I ever suggest a dog should be left in hot car or made a choice comparison? I wouldn't leave a dog in a hot car. When I was younger my fish died, I was traumatized as I was guilty of its death and said I wouldn't have any children then as I felt like a bad parent.
Anywho......READ my question which is who do you call when you see a homeless person? Why is there an entity to call and report distressed dog and of course they show up immediately, it makes front page news, they fine or imprison the owner yet the same doesn't apply to homeless? Get it now?! Nor am I suggesting help all or none. But maybe if we treated all humans with dignity it'd trickle down to our furry friends. How do you expect some to respect a dog's life when a human's isn't valued?
Stick on subject or STFU. I don't need you to agree with me but I'd appreciate you staying on the subject matter, you can still wish death upon me.
P.S. While we are on the subject , do you really think animals are inacapable of helping themselves? In this certain instance, you are right. But usually no. Animals are more capable of survival than we are. All humans do is divide and destroy. So who really needs the help?
