Fish for Obama

I waited in a waiting room yesterday for my wife to get her B12 shot. In the waiting room is a gigantic salt water fish tank. It was placed in the hospital as a memorial for a man I knew by his daughter and her husband. It is quite large and has about fifteen or twenty fish in it. Hard to count, they keep swimming and swimming. I am mesmerized watching them and it is almost hypnotic.

I started a conversation with the largest fish, nothing else to do and he seemed like he wanted to talk. Naturally, our conversation got around to politics and the recent election. Turned out he, and all the fish for that matter, were Democrats and voted for Obama.

"Hey," he stated, "We are a very diverse group here, big fish, little fish, many different colors, many from different countries, all thrown together in this gigantic tank, all just swimming around. We don't have to work, we get to do whatever we want, we have everything we want, sure we voted for Obama, he's taking care of us."

"Life is good here," he went on to add, "we don't need a thing, all of our needs are taken care of, how great is that, why would we want change?"

No wonder he won again, even the fish voted for him.
