C'mon people, let's have cooler heads prevail. Gun sales are skyrocketing and I am seeing more and more on the internet about "something" happening in this country of ours. People are concerned about gun legislation and Obama taking peoples guns away, or at least some form of legislation prohibiting the sales and ownership of guns. If legislation does not do it, a Presidential Proclamation will. Scary stuff.
I have proclaimed by concern for quite a while, now that it is imminent I am overly concerned. Are we heading down a road to disaster? What happened? When did it happen? Why did it happen?
In the 40's, we were at war and the country pulled together. Korea in the 50's, we were not all pulling together, different views, but still one voice. In the last 50 years, everything has changed, and am not sure what all it can be attributed to, many things.
Perhaps when it is Of, By and For the People, eventually, somethings goes wrong, it could be an inherent flaw within the system. For Miss Brooklyn, my Great-granddaughter and her children, I pray that is not the case. But, I am concerned. The spirit of the 40's does not exist today.
