Grandmother Rector ..... my Great Grandmother

I just found this while going through some things.

This is my Mother, Jessie Maude Shannon Dooley's Grandmother, Rector, who lived in Hanover, Ohio. I have no idea how old this photo is, probably turn of the century.

That can was in our home for a while, I remember it, but knew none of the history on it.

My Mother told of getting on the old Interurban and traveling from Marion, Indiana to Hanover, and her grandfather would pick them up in a horse drawn farm wagon and take them to the Rector Place, she and her Sister Eva would spend a week or so during the Summer months.

Mom was born in 1897, so she was making these trips shortly after the turn of the century, so this photograph is early 1900's.

I know little of the Rector side of the family, all that history is gone, have tried to research it, but no luck so far. This photograph is the "ideal" Grandmother, if there ever was one. I wish I knew what happened to that cane.
