Another age post ..............

Someone asked me, at Walmart, the other day, "How does it feel being 80?"

I have no idea, I am 80 in years only, I wonder if anyone has ever really been 80. I don't think that the mind ages like the body. I am only 80 when I look in the mirror and see my Father.

I remember many years ago, I was probably 13 or 14, my Dad and I went to a football game at the University of Dayton stadium. I forget what I said, but it was something I knew would upset him, perhaps in jest, I don't know. I knew he was old, and my intention was to irritate him, and take off running, because he was my Father, much older, and I was young and fast. I made my comment and took off running, he had me in his grasp, in ten feet. How was he able to do that. I was young and he was old. I then was not aware of how one felt in his 50's, till now, that I am in my 80's.

My Mother, died at 71, how old I thought she was. I was 71, 9 years ago.

My worst enemy in not terrorists or the government or organized crime, it's that bathroom mirror.
