MORE USEFUL INFORMATION

According to Nielsen estimates, more than 200 million people in the U.S. shop at Walmart each year.

Walmart Supercenters employ 350 or more associates on average and offer 142,000 different items.

Since its launch in September 2006, WALMART'S $4 Prescription Program has saved Americans more than $2 billion.

In 2008, Walmart and its Foundation committed $2.6 million dollars in product and financial support in the aftermath of hurricanes Dolly, Ike and Gustav.

At least 193 children have been recovered as a direct result of WALMART'S Missing Children's Network bulletin board located in each store.

Sam Walton opened the first Walmart store in 1962 in Rogers, Ark.

THIS IS INTERESTING .................

In the near future, WALMART hopes there will be no dumpsters at their stores and no landfills with Walmart throwaways.

I've done a lot of demos at Walmart, and I have seen how much goes out the back door each day, the above will be quite an accomplishment. I know where the throwaway meat goes, but not sure about the produce, bakery, etc., will be quite an accomplishment. I understand they don't like to give anything away, can come back at them, the meat, they sell, yea, they pay someone to haul it away. My understanding is it lets them off the hook if anything is wrong.
