This is actually how it is .......... in reality...

I think it is almost criminal, how Columbus, Ohio media, and OSU officials try so hard to keep the idea of a horrible rivalry alive, just to fill the coffers of the university. A rivalry is one thing, exciting, emotional,, and ads to the game. In the days of Bo and Woody, they loved the rivalry, THE game made the Winter months more tolerable for the winner.

Pictured here, the Michigan quarterback is comforting the Ohio State quarterback after he was injured. This is as it should be. Both coaches use the game to try to motivate their players. Ohio State hates Michigan, why? I have listened many years to WJR, Detroit radio station,, and I have heard many broadcasts the time preceding the BIG game. They handled it as a rivalry, not a war, OSU has kept approaching it from that standpoint.

Merchandise sales SOAR prior to the Michigan game. It is, just a game, the world keeps spinning in its orbit, regardless of the outcome. Rivalry is good, as long as it does not get out of hand, as it often does in this case, in Columbus, thanks to local media.

Money, sales, sales of all kinds, money rolling in, last chance this season to fill the pockets.

Michigan may have lost this game, but OSU lost a quarterback, his change for a Heisman, and I think, their chance to play in a BIG game. I think OSU lost much more than the game, perhaps the season, or at least the "icing" on the cake.
