Emotional .... yes....

When you sink a basket, and the opponents bench jumps to their feet, towels waving, you know you have done something extraordinary. That happened today to one Lauren Hill, who was playing her first collegiate  basketball game, and perhaps her last. At least, the last one witnessed by such a large crowd, and in attendance the Queen of Ladies College Basketball, Pat Summerall. That in itself was a tremendous achievement. Pat was there to present her award, at halftime, to Lauren Hill.

I sat here, crying through the whole thing. I did miss her first basket though, live, had to take my wife to work.

I do not know who all was in the crowd, I imagine a few "snuck" in, unrecognized, because they wanted to be there.

It was an event like no other I have ever witnessed from the standpoint of emotions.

If you are not familiar with the story, look it up, it will sadden and warm your heart.

I know one of the premier players in the WNBA, Elena Della Donne was there, she cancelled an event to make sure she was there. She is a class act, all the way.

I am watching the end of the game, live feed, towel in hand ..........
