I could put a photograph of her (Scout Willis), nude from the waist up, walking down a New York city street, or leaning over, nude from the waist up, looking at flowers on another New York Street, but I am not going to. She was making a "statement" .... not sure what it was, and not sure of her involvement in the "cause."
The first thing that comes to my mind is why they named her Scout. Perhaps named after "Tonto's" horse, that is as good as reason as any. I think her parents are Demi and Bruce. Demuce would have been nice, or Brumi. I imagine when she was a child, wearing a top and bottom, her family would awaken her with those immortal words ..... "Get'em up, Scout."
She also explained something about the female breast and its popularity and the reasons for such popularity. I, too, have often wondered why, the female breast took on such mystical qualities. Some cultures, exposed breasts are common. In our culture, as she states, breast feeding is controversial, at least in public. The areola is, well ... she stated ... She went on to explain her cause; that men’s nipples were just as taboo in the 1930s, and that men protested for the right to bare their chests. ... and “Women are regularly kicked off Instagram for posting photos with any portion of the areola exposed, while photos sans nipple — degrading as they might be — remain unchallenged,” she wrote. “So I walked around New York topless and documented it on Twitter, pointing out that what is legal by New York state law is not allowed on Instagram. What began as a challenge to Instagram and its prejudiced community guidelines became an opportunity for dialogue.”
Maybe she had a .... point, or two...
