It is apparently not for notoriety, they mostly take their own lives after they do the shooting. So it's not an "I told you so" type of thing. I doubt that anyone could offer any kind of a reason for these things happening. I cannot compare "pressure" or "student pressure" that is happening today, in comparison to my days of the 40's and 50's, OK, some in the 30's.
Can you blame television, the internet. Last night, I was sitting in the waiting room of our local hospital, doing some people watching. Everyone, about twenty people or so, maybe a little more, had a cell phone, and the few that didn't, had headphone buttons in their ears, listening to, I assume, music of the day. So, I can deduce from that ... people are not talking with each other, no bonding is going on, some with a child and a parent but ... equals were not conversing. Does that lead to an isolationism of some sort?
I recall getting mad at someone in high school, do not remember why, we had a fight, after school, on the front steps. Do not know the outcome, don't remember why we fought, but I am assuming that when it was over, it was forgotten, at least taken no farther. I can honestly say that killing someone, never entered my mind. But then, the tenure of the day was killing, excuse me, Japs and Germans.
If research was necessary for a paper or an assignment, we had to go to the library and study, no Google for answers. And, I studied little, not a good student by any means.
I doubt that it is the cause, but it is still a pet peeve of mine. ANY store, grocery or Walmart type, often, the first thing you are confronted with ..... COKE .... PEPSI .... soda, pop, or cola of all kinds, mountains of it, all trough the store. And, if you are not getting enough sugar on everything you eat, Hershey's and others are coming out with SUGAR SPREADS that you can put on anything. Could sugar be the cause. Most of the PREPARED meals Mommy fixes for us are loaded with SALT .... and we load up on WHITE BREAD. I know when Marilyn had to do "low salt" we cut out on white bread, way down on sugar and salt. I lost weight, BP leveled out as did a number of other problems I was facing. My health improved greatly..
Not saying diet is the cause, but something is. Too many school shootings .... they are tragic, many things in today's life, are tragic .... there is NO FIX ... obama and other politicians should NOT use these tragic incidents as a platform to get their voices heard ..... THAT in itself is obscene, obama is the worse offender, he should be ashamed. He has NO answers to pressing issues, so he says how awful these school shootings are..... opportunist if there ever was one ................
