Is Obama Threatening Soldiers To Keep Quiet?

The liberation of U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl from his five-year captivity under the Taliban has been one of the most controversial and politically-charged issues faced by the White House in recent months.

One of the latest developments in this contentious affair involves the alleged enforcement of non-disclosure agreements that soldiers who served with Sgt. Bergdahl signed after his disappearance and capture.

News reports indicate that Sgt. Bergdahl was not a typical prisoner of war (POW). Some members of his platoon have come forward with statements that suggest Sgt. Bergdahl may have deserted his post and even refused to perform his duties as an infantryman fighting in Afghanistan due to a change of ideology.

Sgt. Bergdahl was liberated by means of a POW exchange that sent five detainees held in the controversial Guantanamo Bay military back to the Taliban. Sgt. Bergdahl’s parents were elated to learn about their son’s release, but they have also endured humiliation and even death threats. In an effort to learn more about this disputed state of affairs, journalists have tried to interview soldiers who were either served with Bergdahl or who may have been involved in missions to rescue him.
