This is a PERSONAL message for Jim Madison in reply to his blog. It entails comments on the president of the United States. I am replying with some personal comments about his D-Day visit.
First notice that I no longer capitalize .... the p ... in president. Not just me, I rarely see it capitalized. One thing I have learned about him, he, or someone who has enlightened him, taught him one important, thing, "Slight of Hand." Deception, the right hand should never know what the left hand is doing,
Example: There is much press today, devoted to the "Prisoner Exchange" FIASCO. Let's pretend that the FIASCO is a giant billboard ... we are all looking at it .... BUT, what is going on behind the billboard.
He and his henchmen and henchwomen are devious, cleverly devious. If he knocked on my door today, and asked me to ... "Follow him" ... I would close the door. We share little to nothing in common. So, how did he recruit his Army of "YesPeople."
There have been a select few people, in history, who had the ability to do that. We know who they were. And, in my estimation, the only quality that they shared was ..... CHARISMA, nothing more ... how many "charismatic" rulers have we known. If he had not chosen politics, he might have become a Cult leader, perhaps in California. I can picture him in flowing colorful robes, walking through a lovely garden, with adoring worshipers, bowing to him, and some .... he .... touches .... as he, with slow movement of his head, back and forth, gives them all, the opportunity .... to ..... see him .... As Rocky might have said .... "He culda been the greatest!"
I remember the old service adage ... "You are not saluting the man, but the uniform." His lowering of the "bar" ..... has made that difficult.
On the news, I just watched Obama at the memorial, saying his few words ..... No comment
