"Auto accident?"
"No Celbumpitis ... texting and fell down the basement steps."
I don't really know what it s, gullible, easily led, susceptible, not sure. I just saw an ad a BIG ad, for athletic apparel, thousands of different pieces of athletic apparel. Years ago, the were a couple of pairs of tennis shoes, one or two for basketball, black football shoes and black baseball shoes. White sweat socks and high top Keds or whatever the few brands were.
Pets, dogs, cats, pet food, and, thousands of other related items, just for our pets. Walmart used to have one little corner with a few pet items. Now, it is almost as large as the grocery section. Items for pets, never imagined before. Two aisles of just, dog foods, many brands. And, if Walmart doesn't have it, across the street there is a store, a big store, just selling items for our pets. Now, a billion dollar industry.
Just look at the different "athletic" shoes on the market, multi billion dollar industry. Who would have ever dreamed of such an industry, Nike and a few others did. And, some well over $100, some are collectors items.
Pills, don't even have to go there. My Dad, the doctor, had his own little pill envelopes, had his own "pharmacy" in his office, a few pills, a few bottles, that was it. Every town had a drug store. If your Doctor wrote a prescription, you were sick. APC's would get you through most illnesses. APC's were aspirins, I think, then. I don't recall "warnings" then, on pills. If you took a handful of APC's without water, you would probably choke, but, who did that.
Who could have projected that a company, Walmart, would sell $36,000,000.00 per hour, or, show a profit of $34,880, every minute.
They once produced automobiles for transportation, radio, clock, cost additional money. Now, ego, your ego, is taken in to consideration when designing a car. Some are designed for men, some for women. They do sell some cars in Florida, Arizona and California, and other "warm" weather states, that offer "heated" seats. They make dashboards, Vegas like in their beauty and colors, screens, assists, gadgets galore, and then start a campaign to "keep your eyes on the road." .... "I would, but, well, I just can't take my eyes off of that .... oh, that ... beautiful dashboard, excuse me, got a call."
