Isn’t this why we grassroots conservatives love Governor Sarah Palin so much?

For the last few months I have been fielding many of your emails to Eagle Rising, and by far the questions asked most often are: Why isn’t anyone doing anything about (Blank)? Why hasn’t anyone started impeachment proceedings? How is President Obama getting away with all of these illegal actions?

She has her finger on the pulse of the grassroots -- when we get riled up about an issue, she hears us. The media may gloss over thousands of Americans marching on the monuments in D.C., but she understands that our hearts are breaking. She understands that our military veterans are the soul of our nation and that grassroots conservatives guard our veterans jealously.

So when I read that she warned the President that he was treading on ground that could get him impeached, I was not surprised. Because all of you, dear readers, have been saying the same thing for months. Here’s what Governor Palin wrote on her Facebook page just a few days ago.

Bleeding Edge of ObamaCare Rationing

Nancy Pelosi said that Congress must pass ObamaCare to find out what's in it. Now we have healthcare rationing by committee, the cornerstone of ObamaCare's socialist approach to medicine.

Rationing the health care options for tens of millions
Limiting access to life-saving treatments
Limiting medical breakthroughs or delaying their treatment
Dictating which prescription drugs are government approved

Everything about ObamaCare is about restricting your freedom, taking health care decisions away from you and giving them to a collection of bureaucrats, politicians and lobbyists that Barack Obama thinks "know better" then you about what's best for your family.

Even Massachusetts Democrat Rep. Barney Frank supports H.R. 452: To repeal the provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act providing power to the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB). Frank was the 12th Democrat and the most prominent of the 212 members of the House, to co-sponsor the bill currently stuck in committee.


IPAB is a 15-member board, appointed by the president that is scheduled to begin rationing care in 2014.

In order to reduce per capita Medicare spending, the board will recommend levels at which Medicare recipients, our nation's seniors, can be reimbursed for health care expenses by rationing healthcare benefits.
ObamaCare also forces The United States Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF) to decide what preventative health treatments will be covered by ObamaCare's government-approved insurance.
And to give you an idea of what's to come... In November 2009, USPSTF suggested women age forty to forty-nine should not get routine mammograms. The country was outraged at the mammography proposal as USPSTF was weighing the benefit of breast cancer screening against the cost savings of letting some additional cancers go undetected.
ObamaCare and its death panels could make the mammography recommendation a government mandate.

Sarah Palin: Newt 'Crucified' By Romney Allies, GOP Establishment

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says that Newt Gingrich is being "crucified" by the Republican establishment, including allies of Mitt Romney, who are trying to rewrite his record with a barrage of negative attacks.

"Look at Newt Gingrich, what's going on with him via the establishment's attacks," Palin told John Stossel of Fox Business on Thursday, the Huffington Post reported.

She added: "They're trying to crucify this man and rewrite history and rewrite what it is that he has stood for all these years."

Palin has not endorsed any of the GOP presidential candidates, but has been enthusiastically supportive of Gingrich.

Last week before the South Carolina GOP primary Palin said she would vote for Newt Gingrich if she was voting in that state's primary.

She added: 'They're trying to crucify this man and rewrite history and rewrite what it is that he has stood for all these years."

The TRUMPet Sounds

Fox and Friends spoke to Donald Trump about the current situation in Libya and how the administration is handling the U.S. position. Trump said since the U.S. has spent billions of dollars via NATO, and in the old days, being the victor in a war meant reaping the benefits, why wouldn’t the U.S. reimburse itself with Libyan oil? “What do we get out of all these things?” he asked, saying if the rebels are successful and gain control over the country’s oil reserves, they’ll be richer than some in our own country. He also commented on a story that reported China is taking control of the tremendous mineral deposits in Afghanistan, while we fight a war there, saying “we’re very foolish as a nation.”


“The Donald” also responded to questions about his opinion regarding a possible presidential run by former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, whom he met for pizza in June in New York City, saying he didn’t think she was going to earlier, but over the last few days he has noticed it looks like she may be entering the race. Trump said he’s never thought President Obama would be tough to beat, but the Republicans have to pick the right person, and Rep. Paul Ryan’s attack on Medicare makes him untenable as a candidate.

Donald Trump tops new 2012 poll

A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll out today finds Trump tied with Mike Huckabee atop the field of potential GOP White House contenders. According to the poll, Trump and Huckabee both garner 19 percent support among likely GOP voters. Sarah Palin comes in second, with 12 percent, while Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich are tied atthird, with 11 percent support each.

That's a significant drop for Romney, who was at 18 percent support in CNN's poll last month. The poll echoes the findings of a NBC/Wall Street Journal poll last week that found Trump bouncing into second place among likely contenders, tied with Huckabee.

All of this comes as Trump steps up his 2012 maneuvering, especially among social conservatives who seem unhappy with the current field of GOP contenders.

A "slip of the lip" at a recent after show party being held by Dancing with the Stars gave some insight to the future plans of Sarah Palin.


The party, which was held at Chuck E. Cheese's on Gunhill Road in the Bronx, has become a tradition since the show began. Staff, cast and guests are always invited to the events, and prizes are generally awarded at the end of the event to the person who wins the most coupons.

The most conversation revolved around Bristol Palin's improbable run to next week's finals. Rumors abound and there is an uproar that conspiracy theories are floating, and that she is still on the show because of the high ratings she produces.

One staff member was overheard saying, "She can't dance but she sure keeps our ratings up, she ain't no Ginger Rogers."

Bristol was overheard saying, "I don't care what they are saying, when Mom takes over the Oprah show all of this will be forgotten. Heck, any jerk can be president, Mom wants more than that, she wants the power that Oprah has. Keep that under your hat, we don't want that to get out."

  The last 45 of my 66 years I've spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska . I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here's the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It's not about persona, style, rhetoric, it's about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I'm about to mention here.
  1. Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor's office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican's "Corrupt Bastards Club" (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing, "la la la la" (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar.
  2. Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called "ACES." Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them, "don't let the door hit you in the stern on your way out." They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course, the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.
  3. The other thing she did when she walked into the governor's office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as "pork." She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the "when-hell-freezes-over" stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we'll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor's jet because it was extravagant. Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor's cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State-provided security force (never mentioning - I imagine - that she's packing heat herself). I'm still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.
  4. Now, even with her much-ridiculed "gosh and golly" mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn't impress you, then you're trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.
  5. For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn't start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. Then, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.
  6. President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewable by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona. Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that's just a cover-up. I'm still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won't be holding my breath.

A message from Sarah Palin .................

The newly-released mind-boggling, record-smashing $3,400,000,000,000 federal budget invites plenty of opportunity to debate the merits of incurring more and more debt that will drown the next generation of Americans. Never has it been possible to spend your way out of debt. So... let the debate begin.

Included in the debate process will be opportunities for our president to deliberate internally the wisdom of this debt explosion, along with other economic, military and social issues facing our country. Our president will discuss these important issues with Democrat leaders and those within his inner circle. I would ask the president to show decency in this process by eliminating one member of that inner circle, Mr. Rahm Emanuel, and not allow Rahm’s continued indecent tactics to cloud efforts. Yes, Rahm is known for his caustic, crude references about those with whom he disagrees, but his recent tirade against participants in a strategy session was such a strong slap in many American faces that our president is doing himself a disservice by seeming to condone Rahm’s recent sick and offensive tactic.

The Obama Administration’s Chief of Staff scolded participants, calling them, “F---ing retarded,” according to several participants, as reported in the Wall Street Journal.

Just as we’d be appalled if any public figure of Rahm’s stature ever used the “N-word” or other such inappropriate language, Rahm’s slur on all God’s children with cognitive and developmental disabilities – and the people who love them – is unacceptable, and it’s heartbreaking.

A patriot in North Andover, Massachusetts, notified me of Rahm’s “retarded” slam. I join this gentleman, who is the father of a beautiful child born with Down Syndrome, in asking why the Special Olympics, National Down Syndrome Society and other groups condemning Rahm’s degrading scolding have been completely ignored by the White House. No comment from his boss, the president?

As my friend in North Andover says, “This isn’t about politics; it’s about decency. I am not speaking as a political figure but as a parent and as an everyday American wanting my child to grow up in a country free from mindless prejudice and discrimination, free from gratuitous insults of people who are ostensibly smart enough to know better... Have you no sense of decency, sir?”

Mr. President, you can do better, and our country deserves better.

Sarah Palin ......

I remember when McCain introduced Sarah to the world, I know I was impressed. I immediately tried to get sarahpalin.com, and when I first went to it, in Yahoo, it said, AVAILABLE, and I thought all my troubles were over. Then I went to purchase the site and it was NOT AVAILABLE. I later heard that some URL's with her name in them went for quite a bit of money. I ended up with sarahpalinhasitall.com, really didn't work it much, got nothing in return.

Now, a lot of people in the country are getting up at ungodly hours, just to buy her book, and/or get one autographed.

The media is still polarized, they either like her or not. It does seem though, that the Republican faithfulls like her, and the Democratic side, does not. If nothing else, the exposure has made her a millionaire. I have never seen a cover on a magazine of Hillary or Nancy Pelosi in jogging attire. That was a low blow to Sarah, even though she looked good. The biased MEDIA.

She is a beautiful woman, for one thing, could be a cover girl for Cosmo, or Better Homes and Gardens, or be a spokesperson for the NRA. I noticed some fans did not take her flowers, they took her Elk Jerkie.

We can talk about her "rack," and not necessarily mean antlers on the wall.

She seems very approachable, very down to earth. I would like to sit and have a beer with her and talk things over, and I imagine she would enjoy that also.

Could she lead the country? Well, if we look at our present and past presidents, a resounding YES. I don't think experience in office means anything. I think it is the person and their qualities, their knowledge, their ability, that are the main qualifications. Experience in Congress means a person is a POLITICIAN, knows pork and how to get it, voters and how to get them, knows all the "perks" and how to use them. Has nothing to do with running the country,, just fattening a wallet.

I forget the country, but if elected, they audit you, and when you leave office, you can't have any more than when you went in. Let's see if we can get something like that passed in this country, yah, right.

I think she would make an excellent President, and I, for one, would be very proud to have her represent ME, around the world. And, she has the RIGHT experience to get the job done. A lot of the success of a President is determined by those he surrounds himself with. He, or she, is like a good football coach, he lets you know what he wants done, what he expects, and then you carry your particular load.

Sarah has run a BIG state, raised a family, and still remains effervescent. Look at some of the other women in politics and compare them to Sarah ..... NO comparison.

My guess is she likes old country music, George Jones, Hank, Waylon and the boys. Her favorite song is "Friends in Low Places," a real knee slapper. And she probably likes old Gospel Music. She stands when the National Anthem is played, puts her hand over her heart when the American Flag passes, and goes to church on Sunday, with her family. And, can generally be seen wearing an American flag lapel pin.

Her career so far has been like a thrown boomerang. She was here, got thrown away, and has returned, and after a very rough, shaky trip. She has been insulted, torn apart, criticized, by the press, and I think she has emerged with a brighter image.

She is near here today, in Columbus, Ohio, and the lines started forming last night. I think that is quite a tribute. I wonder if the party is intelligent enough to realize who their front runner is. Her star shines the brightest.
