Con Ed Outage Leaves Thousands Without Power in Brooklyn

Con Edison said a power outage in Brooklyn had left thousands of customers without electricity Saturday afternoon.

The outage on an overhead loop in Dyker Heights is affecting about 7,500 customers as of around 2:30 p.m., according to a spokesman for Con Ed.

It is unclear whether weather had anything to do with the outage, or when service would be restored.
