Sen. Rand Paul, Kentucky Republican, blasted former President Bill Clinton Wednesday morning as a “serial philanderer” and argued that there’s a question of hypocrisy as Democrats accuse the GOP of engaging in their own “war on women.”
“There’s been a lot of talk of a war on women, and I am very concerned that we treat, and that women be treated equally and fairly in the workplace, and one of the worst things that can happen is if your boss takes advantage of you in the workplace,” Mr. Paul said on “CBS This Morning.” “And so really, for all these people who stand up for Bill Clinton and say he’s the greatest thing since sliced bread: He was a serial philanderer, but he also is someone who took advantage of women in the workplace, and that’s an old-fashioned thing from a long time ago.”
“It was only 15 years ago — many of the Democrats today still defend him and think he’s the greatest thing, but he was a person who took advantage of a young girl in the workplace, and I think that’s inexcusable and that kind of war on women should end,” he continued.
I have always wondered how he got away with it, almost any other individual, in these circumstances, would he ostracized and condemned. Instead, he makes MILLIONS giving speeches, is still a "celebrity." I cringe each time I see a woman, especially, seemingly, adoring him. Charisma apparently blinds. At night, Clinton can walk by the graveyard of dreams that have been shattered, because of "philandering," and just wave, with that sly grin on his face. We have two public figures who register a "ten" on the Charismatic Scale, Bill and Barack.
