2/6/14

Cold and snowy outside, have not been out for a few days, may try to venture out today. I need more Vicks. Why, you ask, well, I am now a believer. I now massage Vicks on both feet, every night, and the difference is astounding. My feet feel better than they have in many years. I won't even try to explain the difference, try it yourself and see what happens. Who'da thought?

Hillary is going to have such a large "war chest" of money by the time the election rolls around, I think record setting numbers. Apparently, other candidates are finding empty coffers when they ask. She will have a formidable amount, to say the least.

I have been thinking about a blog I did on Lawyers. Is the study of law a good basis for being a politician? Politicians study and know, the law. Politicians, in most cases, have nothing to do with "the law." Depending, of course, on the office, what does a politician actually do. Ideally, they convey and carry out the "wishes" of their constituents, however, that does not seem to happen. Would Business Administration be a better background, Religion is out of the question, History might help, Psychology, perhaps. A Lawyer, "protects the innocent."

I;m gonna mull that around some more. A lawyer, by the very nature of his calling, can lie, cheat and mislead, in the name of protecting a client. Getting his client "off" at all costs. "Yes, he is guilty, but I want to prove him innocent." Truth, is not necessarily a by-word of an attorney. Thus, not of a politician, now we know why.

The Winter Olympics starts today, my excitement level about that is at the same level as my excitement about the weather today, in Ohio. The opening ceremony, for the most part, is boring, with a few highlights. The lighting of the torch, the Olympians marching in, some of the "entertainment" is "awing" in some ways. Then we will see was progresses with the games. Weather has me restricted to the house, so, out of desperation, may watch ...... The Winter Olympics ..... and all of the suspense that comes with .... terrorism ...
