It is the bottom of the seventh inning, Michigan has already beaten Arizona State University once today, and they needed two wins to with this portion of the tournament and stay in. They were up by one run, they had come back to take the lead. This was a strong hitter for ASU. Two outs .... over the fence, the end of the season for Michigan, the last game for the seniors. The end. A long ball hit to left, deep, but Lyndsay Doyle leaps up and .............. makes the catch. The game is over, Michigan wins and continues on in the NCAA Softball Tournament. /below, the coach, "Hutch" is in disbelief. She went from "It's over" to "OMG". I remember seeing in live and wondered if anyone had captured it, thankfully, someone did. As great a catch, with reaction, as you will ever see. I don't think I have ever seen a scenario to match this, and I have seen many. So much "happened" in that instant that Lyndsay caught that ball, and it really did not "hit me" or anyone, until it happened. Things went from black to white, from night to day, from good to bad, in that instant ..... where, in inches, it happened. Really awesome when you consider it all .... I am glad they had this moments on film. Hutch's reaction if priceless.
