This young Texas Rangers fan is the coolest kid in Texas. During the fourth inning of the Blue Jays-Rangers game, Toronto third base coach Luis Rivera tossed him a foul ball, and the fan saw his opportunity to score major points with the girl sitting behind him. The boy already had a ball in his possession, so when he caught the game ball in his glove, he quickly turned and passed off the decoy to the girl.
She was ecstatic. The girl on the right seems to notice what’s going on — she mouths “he kept it” — but we hope she didn’t spoil the moment, in the name of love.
We’re not sure where the other ball came from, but it’s possible he brought a ball from home with this entire scenario already planned out. Bravo.
